The company offers a great product (training program) and has great clients. They have great employees. They have an unhealthy need for micromanagement and control over their talented people. Every year, we conduct an employee survey. The lowest level of feedback received is "Trust". The employees and management don't trust each other. This creates a frustrating work environment. They expect a lot of output which I do not mind. However, they don't reward their success with better working relationships. It's hard to pinpoint, but employees beware.

A typical day for the director of business development involves moving deals through a pipeline in a typically long sales cycle. In order to land Fortune 500 clients, you must be a tireless follow-up person and work well in a team. Presentations, desk sharing, CRM Tool, strategic and methodically managing a sales pipeline, contract negotiations, closing interactions, and managing "next steps” and "next decisions" throughout the process. Demonstrations of our business acumen curriculum and on-site meetings. These are all very common in my daily work life.

It is a great place to work. I was there for nearly 12 years. I was able to travel a lot and see the world. It's fun to wear many hats and get things done.
